Thermofoil panels are produced by heating colored films over a substrate and using high pressure and adhesives to form a bond. Exposure to any heat source will deteriorate the bond and release the film from the substrate. Therefore, it is imperative that all sources of heat be kept safely away from all thermoform panels.
Avoid any heat from kitchen appliances: ovens, cook tops, toasters, grills etc., or exhaust vents. It is recommended that you have stainless steel heat deflectors installed in any areas that may be exposed to high heat sources, especially the area next to self cleaning ovens. Do not use griddles, electric frying pans, toaster ovens, etc. directly underneath upper cabinetry.
Lighting fixtures which produce intense heat, (i.e. halogen lights) must be installed a safe distance from any thermofoil cabinet products.
Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry to avoid streaks. Never use solvents, ammonia, scrubbing pads or abrasive cleaners.
